How to Whiten Teeth at Home
With the Smile Brilliant Kit, you are provided with everything you need to make your own impressions, which you send out to Smile Brilliant who then makes your personalized teeth whitening trays.
My Smile Brilliant teeth whitening kit contains the pastes needed to make impressions, the impression trays, 4 tubes of teeth whitening gel and 4 tubes of desensitizing gel. Each tube will allow for four whitenings/desensitizings.
I thought taking my own impressions for the whitening trays would be difficult. I was pleasantly surprised how easy that process was. I simply mixed the two pastes together by folding them together until all the white catalyst paste was mixed into the blue base. Next, I took my paste and pressed it into my impression trays. I bit down and made my impressions. For your viewing pleasure, I had Grant take this stunning photo. 😉
The process was so easy. My impressions, were, impressive! 😉
It was also easy to mail them out with the postage paid envelope provided with the kit. I received my custom fitted trays for whitening the next week. They were a perfect fit! I was impressed.
I have coffee stained teeth. I do eat strawberries and blueberries which can stain teeth as well. I use whitening tooth pastes, but as you will see, they can’t compare to the results I obtained using the Smile Brilliant Kit.
The directions for whitening are straight forward. I whiten at night, which is recommended. I started out using the trays with whitening gel in for 30 minutes. Last night I kept them in for 45 minutes. The desensitizing gel does appear to help, as my teeth and gums feel fine after the process. The most important part, is that it works! I’ve used the whitening gel for three days and I can already see a major improvement. My teeth are whiter and brighter. It takes between 7 – 14 treatments to remove all stains and this is only my third treatment. I will definitely continue using my Smile Brilliant kit and would recommend it! Check out my before and after photos.
Be sure to read this informative article on tooth sensitivity. Teeth whitening can cause temporary tooth sensitivity. The peroxide (bleaching agent) may reach the nerves in the smaller teeth, causing them to hurt a few hours after treatment. Desensitizing toothpaste and gels (available at Smile Brilliant.) will help to strengthen teeth.
