How to make floam. So what is floam you ask? Well it’s like shaving cream, only more durable. In fact, is it made using shaving cream. If your kids or grand kids like the squishy feel of shaving cream, they love will this simple kid craft tutorial on how to make floam! It couldn’t be any easier either. All you need is a large mixing bowl and three simple ingredients that you may already have in your house!
- Shaving Cream (Get a couple of cans at the Dollar Tree!)
- Corn Starch
- Food Coloring
Step 1. Remove the cap from the shaving cream. This proved to be more difficult than expected.
Next, squirt a large mound of shaving cream into your bowl.
Top this with lots of corn starch – no measurements here – just eyeball it! The fun is adjusting things. Add a little bit more shaving cream, add a little bit more corn starch, and so on!
Add a drop or two of your favorite food coloring and mix, mix, mix! Have fun and make a mess!
You know when you’ve added enough corn starch, because you will be able to form a rather sturdy ball.
Ryan’s looked like a brain with those little specs of
blood food coloring!
If you want to save your floam, store it in a plastic container. We didn’t save ours as I am not sure of the shelf life of floam.
Also, not sure who enjoyed this more, me or the kids!
