I am a big fan of leather. In 2014, we bought a Subaru with leather interior after driving my old Honda with the dirty cloth interior for seven years. Just last year, we bought a nice leather sectional. We finally got rid of the couch that had the removable cushions – the very ones that I spent 365 days fixing and fluffing. Thank goodness those days are over. Two things I love and highly recommend leather furniture and leather car interiors.
So, with all this leather, I was looking for a good leather cleaner. I had the opportunity to try two products by Leather Nova – the cleaner and the conditioner.
My kids can be rough and messy. Yet, our car’s leather is still in pretty good shape a year and a half later amazingly enough. I used the Leather Nova cleaner as indicated. I applied it to my cloth and then rubbed it onto the leather. I found this cleaner to be gentle and effective for cleaning dust and surface dirt. I tried it on some tiny permanent stains and they did not come out. One of these was pen ink.
Next, I used the Leather Nova Conditioner on my car seats. This is very much like an oil. While the ingredients are not listed, the product does read that it contains “high grade polymers” to restore the leather to its natural sheen. It is meant to protect the leather and described as the “ultimate” leather protector. It has a light, pleasant odor to it. My car’s interior leather did have a nice sheen after applying the product with the sponge applicator. It did dry to a non-greasy finish as well. My leather seats looked great after applying this conditioner. I will be using it again.
I was very impressed with the Leather Nova cleaner when it came to my couch. As I mentioned, it’s gentle, yet effective at removing those surface stains like food, dust, dirt etc. It’s easier to see the results on my white cloth after spot cleaning the furniture.
