In Six Words is a series of blog posts by Eli Pacheo, who blogs over at Coach Daddy. He gives out a prompt and we respond with our six words. (It’s not as easy as it sounds!) I was invited to share my six words on this prompt –
July is Freedom from Fear of Speaking Month. I want to give people an opportunity to say something to someone – or the universe – that they haven’t yet, for whatever reason. What would you choose to say, in six words? The topic is up to you.

My response was simply this – Let’s be kinder to one another.
My brother and I got into a pretty big fight last month. In the end, we were both wrong. If we just stopped letting our egos do the talking and were kinder to one another, we wouldn’t have been screaming at each other over the phone. And then click I hung up on him.
I suppose if I had just three more words, I would have said Let’s be kinder to one another and to ourselves.
If we are able to forgive others, we are more likely to forgive ourselves. (Sometimes I can be pretty hard on myself. Can you relate?)
I am glad to say that my brother and I have reconciled. I don’t hang up unless I say goodbye first. 😉
Here’s a few favorites from the post –

56. I cannot be what I’m not.

Amen to that Eli. Thanks for including me in this month’s In Six Words. Now that was therapeutic!
