I was provided with a free Premium Kid Connect subscription to review by VTech. Opinions expressed are my own.

This version of the InnoTab features VTech Kid Connect, which is a communication app to connect kids with parents and friends through tablet-to-mobile and tablet-to-tablet communication. The InnoTab 3S now features the new Premium Kid Connect app. This app offers enhanced features that allow kids and parents to send not only text messages and stickers, but voice messages, photos and drawings to each other. This is a review of the Premium Kid Connect. Be sure to check out my review of the InnoTab 3S here. This is my second InnoTab 3S giveaway and just in time for the holidays! Premium Kid Connect Review
After installing the Premium Kid Connect from the Learning Lodge to the InnoTab 3S, I wanted to check out some of the ways that I am able to use the Premium Kid Connect from my iPhone. I can easily change my profile name and password, and approve or reject friend requests. I can also manage Ryan’s contacts via the view contacts icon. I can invite people that already have a Kid Connect ID and the app. can also invite new users to Kid Connect. I just enter my family member’s email address on the next page and click the “Invite” button. This is a nice feature so that Ryan can send voice or text messages to Grant and his Aunt Gisele from his InnoTab 3S to their smart phones. Sending the invitations was easy. If they download the app. and sign up, we still need to send a friend request to them via their Kid Connect username. Once they accept the friend request, Ryan will have a new contact.
Exploring the new features of the Premium Kid Connect was fun! To get started, I clicked on my only contact, Ryan! On the next screen, there are a series of icons at the bottom of the screen. The first icon is the ABC icon. This is for sending text messages. Just click on this and a box appears for you to type in. It’s just like sending a regular text message via smart phone, just type the message and send.
The next icon shows a little present. This is the sticker icon. Click on this and there are 30 cute stickers that you may send. When you select each sticker it makes a cute sound, like if you click on the flowers, it says, “This is for you.” Cute.
The microphone is the icon to use to record a short message. The message length is only 10 seconds long. This is just enough time for a quick, “How are you?” “Thinking of you!” and “I hope you are having a great day!” Ryan had fun sending me some goofy voice messages.
The drawing icon is fun. Ryan likes to draw and doddle, and he sent me a few of his creations. This screen has a white area for drawing, six virtual crayons and an eraser. Ryan thought is was cool to be able to send me his drawings.
Taking selfies is always fun and that’s exactly what you can do with the last icon of a camera using Premium Kid Connect. On my iPhone, I also have the ability to pull from pictures that are stored. Once you take the photo an select to use it, there is a crayon icon on the lower right, so that you can decorate your photos.
Premium Kid Connect offers some great communication features for younger kids to connect with family and friends. The way that parents control the contacts and friend requests ensures a safe introduction to the world of electronic communications. Ryan gives the new voice message, drawing and photo features two big thumbs up. While he likes sending messages to dear old mom, he is really looking forward to being able to communicate with his aunt and his Dad!
