Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day! We started the weekend by picking up our new chicks on Friday and getting them set up.

Aren’t they adorable?? More cute chick pics. to come on Wordless Wednesday!

This morning, the boys surprised me with this bouquet of flowers. Not sure what kind they are, but they grow wild in our wooded yard. I was pretending to be a flower girl holding my bouquet.

And in just a few hours from now Grant and I (and my friend Kathy) will be running a 5K road race called Rock ‘n Run Race and Outdoor concert. Should be fun – especially the party afterwards, with food, drinks and music!

Mother’s Day will be at my Mother-in-law Gerene’s house AND she is watching the kids overnight tonight.  So, no cooking, no cleaning and no kids – until later for dinner at her house tomorrow. I owe her BIG TIME! Thank you Gerene! :)

What are you doing this Mother’s Day?

Wishing everyone a very happy day!

    Hey Vickie!

Yes, we are just trying this out….we went to a presentation at our local library – it really sounds easy to do. I just have to get Grant to build that coop. These are all egg layers, we are hoping for lots of eggs! Boy they are cute at this tender age! :)

    Happ Mother’s Day!

I’m a bit late to this post but the baby chickens are too cute. I used to own a few quail chicks but they are much too fragile for children to handle constantly!

Sweet pics! I think maybe that’s a trillium. You could look it up online. They grow in the wild. I had a wonderful Mother’s Day with my family. I sure miss my mom thought!

that was a nice post! I’ve raised a few chickens, and they can be so much fun! A gal from 4-H used to help out, too. I also had a Nubian goat at the same time.
