Crazy Sexy Kitchen Cookbook Review

The truth is, eating mainly plants is good for all of us! Kris Carr with the help of chef Chad Sarno, is  inspirational when it comes to her own wellness journey which she shares in this cookbook. There are 150 plant based recipes here and each is presented in such a way to inspire by opening our eyes (and palettes) to plant-based eating, while helping us to unleash our inner “plant-based porn star!”

I’ll be honest, I am not becoming a vegan anytime soon, but this cookbook has some very interesting recipes. I would love to try the Edamane Dumplings with Shallot Broth and I know I would love the Walnut Falafel.

The section called Inflammation Nation is very interesting. It’s actually scary how many foods irritate the body and cause inflammation. That section alone inspired me to leave canned soup on the shelf and try the pumpkin bisque soup. This was fresh and delicious. The maple syrup gave it a very slight sweetness. It was so nice to have a cup of this with my lunch last week. This recipe follows below.

Crazy Sexy Kitchen has beautiful images of recipes throughout and easy to follow instructions. Keep in mind some of the ingredients will require trips to the health food store. In addition to Chef Sarno, the book contains the recipes of a whopping 8 other vegan chefs, so rest assured, these are the best of the best plant-based recipes.
