Bertolli Classic Roasted Chicken Risotto Review
The Chicken Risotto is a frozen meal for two that was easy to prepare. I just placed the contents in a skillet on medium high for about five minutes or until it was heated through. This was a real treat. The creamy Parmesan cheese cream sauce was delicious paired with the chicken and risotto. I liked the asparagus in this dish and there was quite a bit of it. I normally never eat it. What a nice surprise for a frozen meal. At 12 grams of fat per serving, it this wasn’t very low in fat, yet it was the lowest of the four meals that I received. At 930 mgs per serving, the sodium was a bit high for me. Despite the high fat and sodium, this was a tasty meal that was easy to prepare.
Bertolli Meal Soup Italian-Style Wedding Review
This Italian-Style Wedding soup was easy to prepare right on the stove-top. I just added one cup of water and the frozen soup to a sauce-pan and cooked for a few minutes, stirring occasionally until it was heated through.
Okay, since I pointed this out with the first meal, I have to do it again for this one. The fat is very high at 19 grams per serving. (This is a splurge for me.) Also, the sodium is 1,090 per serving, which is 1/2 of the bag. Why? Why use that much sodium? It’s a lot for sure. Now that I’ve gotten the negative out of the way. This soup had nicely flavored Italian meatballs and lots of spinach. I love that! There are pieces of bacon in the soup (which perhaps contributes to the high sodium) but it really gives the soup’s broth a smoky flavor. I loved the restaurant-taste of this soup, just not all fat and sodium.
