The Importance of Home Security for All Moms

My good friend, who lives alone, has been using a security system for years now. She told me it that it is worth every penny to her to have that peace of mind knowing that she, her house and belongings are safe from intruders. Even if you are not living alone, there are several reasons why having a home security system is important for all moms.

Home alone. During the week, I am home by myself (working) until the kids come home from school. If I had a home security system like LifeShield in place, complete with a security camera outside the house, I would have peace of mind. I wouldn’t be continuously getting up and looking out the window to see if someone was in my driveway or at my door.

Home w/o spouse w/ kids at night. Occasionally Grant travels for business for several days at a time and I am home with the kids by myself. I admit, that at night I can get pretty nervous. If I had a home security system in place, I would definitely sleep more soundly at night.

Kids home alone 1. My kids are starting to go to the after school program on some days. I always worry that our wires may get crossed, as in they forget to go to the after school program, take the bus home and I am headed to the school to pick them up. As a result, they come home to an empty house. We do have a plan in place if that were to happen. If for some reason, they didn’t have their key(s) and tried to get in, the alarm would trip and I would be notified by my security system via my iPhone. (It’s a stretch, but stranger things have happened!)

Kids home alone 2. My kids are getting older and soon we will be leaving them home alone – on purpose! I would feel more confident knowing our security system was activated, not only keeping intruders out, but also keeping the boys in!

No one is home. If there ever was a break in and I wasn’t home, a home security alarm would be tripped and I would be notified within seconds – talk about peace of mind!

I totally get it. When we moved into our house, there was a security system and we activated it immediately. There would be nights when my (ex) husband would have to travel for work and I was scared to stay by myself. Knowing that we had the alarm helped me sleep a little better.

We’ve had a security system for about 7 years now, it does give me (priceless) peace of mind!
