Wordless Wednesday A Ghost Tour in York, Maine #WW #Linky

While on vacation two weeks ago, my family and I decided to take a Ghostly Tour at Short Sands Beach in York led by the Man Man of York (naturally!) We recommend it! He shared some of the history of York, some folklore, and some creepy ghost stories. He described  ghost sitings at the Union Bluff hotel and the Cape Neddick Inn.

The kids (ages 8 and 10) enjoyed the tour and were not too scared after hearing all of the stories.

Spooky if you believe in that sort of stuff….I am fascinated by it, so I must believe in it.

Which begs the question.

Do you believe in ghosts?

I definitely believe in ghosts, and now my husband does too because we have this “black shadow” that cross our vision in our new home, and we often hear the sound of doors opening and closing when none are!

That looks like it was a lot of fun. Charleston SC where I live has awesome ghost tours.

What fun …that second photo down looks like the house is on a tilt heheh

I’m so jealous. This is right up my alley and now I want to try to find a way to drag my hubby up there to go on the tour the next time they have it!! We’ve done many, many ghost tours, but this is one I haven’t been on. Yet.

That sounds like so much fun. I would like to take my kids on one, but there is no way my 13 year old would go. Just the thought of these things freaks her out!

When I lived in Savannah, GA they had ghost tours. I thought it was a lot of fun. Learning the history is fun to.

I believe in ghost, but my husband most certainly does not. He thinks I’m crazy when I bring it up.

How fascinating! I would love to go on a tour like that. I didn’t used to believe in ghosts but after seeing Ghost Hunters…well it’s intriguing!

Fun ghost tour! I don’t believe in them though my MIL and probably hubby do…

If you go by the chill I get sometimes at night…I guess I do. ;)
My husband and I are thinking of taking our vacation around Halloween and trying to come up with interesting places to visit. I wonder if we’ll run across something similar depending on where we end up.

Oh I couldn’t do it. The guy alone is too creepy for me. I am a wimp- but my kids would love it!

  17. 17

That would be fun! I do believe in ghosts, but I also believe there’s a lot of fakery out there. I would do a tour like that, but I would not stay in a haunted hotel!

  18. 18

It looks like your family had a lot of fun! I would love to take a tour of Ghost town! It does not look scary!

I believe in ghosts. We have one in our house that likes to make toast. When you smell toast you know he’s in the house. He doesn’t bother anyone. He also likes to make cakes and some great smelling meals. There are times the house smells so good that you wish you could have whatever he is making.
