My Grandma’s of New England® started a sensation in 1990 with Grandma Esther Cluck’s authentic old world family coffee cake recipe. An industry was then born in a 250 square foot bakery. I received the boxed cake and once the kids found out they were so excited to sample this product.
The cake looked delicious and it had a nice weight to it. I predicted rich and moist. Behold the crumbly cinnamon and sugar coated topping with toasted walnuts.
Cake is at the top of my list of favorite foods and this cake is a winner. It was very, very good. As I predicted, it’s moist, it’s rich and it’s sweet. Grandma Ester Cluck knew her coffee cakes!
It was interesting to read that this is the same cake “that was served at the Plaza Hotel in New York City’s Tea Room for $8.00 a slice, The Vatican, The Major League Baseball All-Star Game, The Ryder Cup and the US Tennis Open.”
I’m not surprised at all.
Grandma’s coffee cake is so good, I had to give it to Grant to take to work. Otherwise, I would have eaten much more than I should. Not to mention, a cake that is this ridiculously delicious has to be shared among many! Grant had two large slices and his comment was, “That is some good cake.” (He’s a man of few words.) He brought it in to his meeting and needless to say, it went fast. “Everyone loved it. The walnuts were toasted to perfection,” he told me.

Unbelievably moist, we use only the finest ingredients available anywhere, to include farm fresh eggs, pure Bourbon Vanilla and sour cream. We hand pour all of our batter! We also add whole Mariani walnuts and a cinnamon streusel to the center and the top of the cake. After eating one piece of our cake, you’ll want to share it with someone you love!
This cake is baked with walnuts. This cake is certified Kosher. Our large cake weighs approximately 3.1 lbs and serves 16 to 20 people.
