Wordless Wednesday Thumbs up for Ted #WW

When my 10-year-old saw the preview for Ted he said, “Mom I want to go see that! It looks so funny!”

Sorry son, but that animated movie is for adults only! What can I say? This raunchy, sophomoric movie starring a   Teddy Bear was actually very funny. I went to see Ted on opening night with my friend Kathy and every seat in the theater was filled.

Seth MacFarlane wrote, directed and plays the voice of Ted. It’s a combination of live action and computer graphic animation. The movie is filmed in Boston, home to Mark Wahlburg.

It also helped the movie that I happen to love Mark Wahlburg. He was perfectly cast as the grown man who must deal with his cherished Teddy bear that has come to life. The only problem is this Teddy bear loves to get stoned, party with hookers and jump into bed with Ted and his girlfriend (played by Mila Kunis) every time there’s a thunder storm. Let’s face it. It’s hard to give up your faithful “thunder buddy”. However, all that kinda ticks John’s girlfriend off (rightly so) and it comes down to choosing between his girlfriend or Ted.

If you like comedies and don’t mind a sprinkling of raunchy humor, you are going to love Ted. The idea  sounds crazy but it was hilarious.

If you’ve seen Ted, what did you think? If not, will you go, wait for DVD, or pass altogether?

Have a great Wordless Wednesday!

When I first started seeing the commercials for this, I had no interest in going to see it, but the more I saw ads for it, the more I want to see it. I think my hubby and I are going to see it tomorrow actually.

Hi again Kristi! SKIP’s is in Merrimack, MA, right next to Haverhill and Amesbury. It’s one of those places most people go for the memories. It’s been around a LONG time.

It’s a pass for me. From promos I’ve seen, I guess I don’t find funny as others do.

I’ll wait for it to come out on DVD, It does look funny, but there are a lot of competing movies I’d rather see , especially with the cost so high.
