Blake’s Shepherd’s Pie Review

I found the Blake’s Shepherd’s Pie in the Organic food section in my grocery store. These pies are available in a single-serving size. They are made with organic corn, mashed potatoes and ground beef from cows raised without antibiotics.

This shepherd’s pie tastes like homemade. The potatoes are creamy, the corn is buttery and the beef is flavorful and delicious. The ingredient list is short and sweet. There are  no artificial ingredients.

Shepherd’s pie is a kid-friendly food – my son James loves Shepherd’s pie. But it’s a pain to make. (You have to boil and mash the potatoes, brown the ground beef etc…) With the Blake’s Shepherd’s pie, I am getting the convenience of a frozen meal with the peace of mind knowing that the ingredients are all natural and organic. For those with Celiac’s Disease, it’s gluten-free too.

I bought the Blake’s Chicken Pot Pie with the regular wheat crust.  Be aware that Blake’s also offers a gluten-free chicken pot pie with a  corn bread crust. Now doesn’t that sound delicious?
