Hungry Girl Recipe Hot Boneless Buffalo Wings

Happy Memorial Day! We’ve had wonderful weather here in north central MA this weekend and I hope you all are enjoying the long weekend.

Have you heard of  Lisa Lillien aka the Hungry Girl?  She is the Queen of low-cal cooking and has great tips on the latest convenient low cal. low/PointsPlus foods.

I just picked up her Supermarket Survival Guide – Aisle by Aisle. HG-Style.

She has a section called the HG’s Top Ate items worth ordering online. Ever heard of Vivi’s Original Sauce Classic Carnival Mustard? It’s part mustard, part relish, part salsa, part hot sauce and it’s fantastic as a spread or a dip. At 15 calories per serving and no fat, Hungry Girl thinks it rocks. (I gotta try that!)

Speaking of hot stuff………………………………

Hungry Girl Recipe Hot Boneless Buffalo Wings

In the following recipe she coats chicken breast pieces directly in Frank’s Red Hot. (I love Frank’s Red Hot!) I currently use Frank’s Red Hot Thick and think that would be even better in this recipe. Now I’ve heard of using FiberOne for a crumbly coating on onion rings, but this recipe includes crushed fat-free Pringles Chips to give your boneless wings a bit more of a crunch without all the calories.

What do you think? Would you try this?

I LOVE the hungry girl. I first saw her in Rachael Ray a few years ago and I’ve been using her recipes ever since.

The chicken looks pretty good. Not sure what I think about the dip??

This recipe looks WONDERFUL! I’d definitely try the chicken & the dip… and the onion rings. I used to get her daily email but cancelled because I couldn’t keep up. I think it’s time to re-subscribe. :)

This isn’t something I would eat; I don’t like hot sauce, but it’s PERFECT for my husband. He needs to loose some weight and lower his cholesterol. I could make these for him and I don’t even think he’d know they were a healthy snack.

the hot sauce may be too much for me (I just like a bit of hot spice), but the pringles sound like a really good idea.

I like the recipes from the Hungry Girl. She can take a fattening food item like boneless buffalo wings and cut the calories down to make them not so fattening! I am trying to loose weight and I have made some of her recipes!

I love boneless chicken wings (chunks) and would definitely try these. Sweet Baby Rays makes a buffalo wing sauce that I really like and use it often on wings and in chicken wraps. The pringles is a great idea, I bet my kids would enjoy these, especially if they knew they were made with them!
