The Review –
John Edward has an entertaining writing style. He comes across as being fun and down-to-earth. In Infinite Quest, he takes the subject matter seriously, but is often funny, humble and straightforward about the development of his own psychic abilities and the potential that we all have to develop our own psychic intuition.
Infinite Quest contains thoughtful stories, meditations, guidelines and journal writing intuition-building exercises. In the Motivational Energy Exercise, John reveals how we as humans are motivated by simply one of two things – Fear or Love. Defining this motivational energy as it relates to psychic development is vital because “We need to understand what and why energy has inspired you now to want to develop your psychic abilities……We need to understand how to change the FEAR factor into a LOVE dynamic.” As I reflected on choices that I’ve made in my life based on love, I found his motivational energy exercise very revealing,
John stresses the importance of keeping one’s ego in check throughout the book. He even outs himself as not keeping his ego in check in one instance, so the reader truly understands that psychic intuition and the inflated ego do not mix.
Practicing Psychic self-defense is a central theme that is presented many times throughout the book. This type of self-defense is a way of protecting yourself from negative energy. (Think of people you know who can suck the life right out of you because of their negative energy.) The Affirmative Thought Exercise and the Shower Exercise are presented to help protect oneself from this type of energy.
I learned about divination tools like Tarot cards, astrological charts and numerology. John introduces all of these tools and suggests that they can, “further assist you on your path.” I enjoyed chapter 14, where John details a very powerful meditation to assist in “Creating Your Psychic Room.”
Whether you believe it or not, it is a wonderful theory that we all have Spirit Guides who can help us on our journey while here on earth. When it’s motivated by love, why not try to tune in? The concept of developing your own psychic intuition is well presented in Infinite Quest. Readers of all interest levels will enjoy this book.
From the book- “Be the best YOU, soul, energy that you can be, whether on this side or the other, and evolve in your ability to get as close to unconditional love, God, that Divine Source, as possible.”
Short Interview –
I had the opportunity to ask John two questions regarding Infinite Quest.
K. Maloney – In Chapter four, you talk about how your guides led you to Alan Oken, Astrologer and co-founder of InfiniteQuest.com. How much did your guides contribute to writing Infinite Quest? Can you give an example of
how they led you to include a particular idea?
J. Edward – My Guides are the driving force behind all of IQ, both the book and the .com aspects. Its their mission to raise awareness on our planet, this Earthly human level of learning, about love and its power…and the lessons we all evolve through.
K. Maloney – Your book has a powerful mission statement. “Our goal is to recognize the world of energy around us and be able to make empowered decisions from an intuitively informed, centered, and balanced point.” Do you believe that itis God’s desire for us all – to be able to tune into this energy while we are here on earth? Are those that do more evolved souls?
J. Edward – I do believe in God, and that Source energy that fuels our lessons (a universal superintendent of sorts) and to use our intuition is a tool/ability of self preservation and evolution.

John believes that everyone has intuitive energy an psychic potential-for instance, many of us can recall knowing that the phone was going to ring and who it was on the other end, or we will “get a feeling” about something. The “feeling” is psychic energy. His goal is to help you understand your intuitive potential and tap into it to take chances and make choices with confidence.
By Following certain guidelines and intuition-building exercises on this meta-physical journey, we can learn to get in touch with our Spirit Guides and identify the psychic energy around us on a deeper level- including connecting with the energy of those who have passed.
