Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef Patty Giveaway and Review 6/11

When I hear the name Ball Park, I think of their hot dogs – that my family loves. Ball Park introduces their new Ball Park Beef Patties. These are made with 100% beef and available in three flavors: Beef, Beef & Cheese, and Beef & Onion. They’re pre-cooked, so they are microwave ready in about a minute. We tried the plain Ball Park Beef Patties as part of this BzzAgent review and one Moms Own Words reader will a free-product coupon and $10.00 in $2.00 off coupons to share with friends and family!

Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef Patty Review

Both Grant and James are fans of hamburgers. Ryan likes hot dogs only, but that may change as he get older. I prepared the burgers for them as instructed. It couldn’t be easier. Just pop it in the microwave on a microwave-safe plate, covered with a paper towel for about 65 seconds.

The burger comes out hot and juicy and ready to eat.

We have two different opinions to share with you. Grant commented that the taste seemed “fabricated” when compared to a typical hamburger patty made from ground beef alone without any added ingredients.  He did like it, because he gobbled it up. What he is talking about is the ingredients added to the beef. This is the ingredient list:

BEEF, WATER, CONTAINS 2% OR LESS OF SALT, DEXTROSE, BEEF STOCK, FLAVORING, MALTODEXTRIN, VEGETABLE OIL, PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN OIL, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, CORN SYRUP, YEAST EXTRACT, SODIUM PHOSPHATE, LEMON JUICE CONCENTRATE.

James, on the other hand, loved them unconditionally and said, “Buy these all the time!”

I did not see ” Finely Textured Beef Trimmings” or “pink slime” in the ingredients list – and Ball Park indicates that on their site as well. In fact, there are no artificial flavorings or colors added.  Yet there are ingredients that I question like, partially hydrogenated soybean oil and corn syrup. Why?

I think that in a pinch, these would be great for an on-the-go burger on busy nights.  We will certainly use up the rest of our bag of Ball Park burgers, and James will love that. However, I will most likely stick to plain-old ground beef patties bought at the meat counter, that we cook on the grill.

About Ball Park

Since 1957 Ball Park® has been king of the frankfurter. Now we’ve gone a step further with our Flame Grilled Beef Patties, Angus Brats, and Angus Beef Hot Links. We don’t claim to understand guys any better than you do. But we do know what they like to eat. So when he’s just being himself, good luck. But when he’s hungry, think Ball Park®.

The Ball Park® brand was launched in 1957 in response to a request from the owner of the Detroit Tigers baseball team. The Ball Park® Frank quickly became such a success, it was expanded nationally. Ball Park® is now a national premium brand of hot dogs with a reputation for great taste and quality. Today, you can find Ball Park® franks in supermarkets, convenience stores and Detroit’s Comerica Park.

Ball Park has always focused on quality and delivering bold juicy flavor. That’s why we DO NOT use Finely Textured Beef Trimmings or what has been characterized in the media as “pink slime” in our products.
