Wordless Wednesday Ain’t She a Beauty? #WW

Me – “I took some pictures of your yellow truck. Anything you’d like to say about it?”

Him – “Love that thing.
It’s a 1973 Ford F100, inline 240 6cyc engine
“3 on the tree” 3 speed manual transmission (the shifter is one the steering Colum).

Me – Uhhuh.

Him – My mom’s uncle bought it when he was working at the GM plant in Framingham, MA. Then, my grandfather bought it of off him and it went up to New Brunswick, CANADA when they moved. It was stolen up there, but recovered, when they ran out of gas and had no key to the locking gas cap. Figure the first gas crisis, people were stealing gas…so adding locking caps was all the rage.

It would stay at our house during the winters, when they went down to Florida, although I can’t remember how -  they must have drove it or had someone drive it there.

Me – MmmmHmmm.

Him – Since it was at our house, that’s what I got to use when I got my license in December. After my grandmother died, and grandfather moved by down here…we got it. My dad used it for going to the dump. Then I got it.

The plan was to use that truck (and the 73′ F250) to rebuild the 78′ F250 and have a cool old plow truck.
But done with that foolishness. The other 2 are with Scott and he’s taking the yellow one too.

Motorcycles are a lot more fun!”

Me – Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Funny! Looks like a one-sided conversation. Kinda like how I used to get when my husband started talking about stocks & bonds & investments, etc. My eyes would just glaze over. :)
