As you may know, I am following Weight Watchers online, and have been posting some yummy Weight Watchers recipes along the way. I must admit, weight loss is slow by relatively steady.
We have been enjoying some great recipes from the Weight Watchers One Pot cookbook. I have a copy of this cookbook currently up for giveaway so stop by here and enter!
I had a bump in the road two weekends ago. At a family party, I went over my points. Let’s see, I had Chinese food, birthday cake and a couple glasses of wine. I guess I should be thankful I was only up by 1/2 pound!
I’m hanging in there, sticking to it, and by this coming Friday hope to hit a weight loss of 9 lbs. (It will be week #5).
I like to go to Trader Joes every so often and wanted to see what low-points foods I could try. The Champagne Pear Vinaigrette was recommended by someone following the program online as a low point salad dressing at one point per serving. Weight Watchers or not, this dressing is delicious – my new favorite!
I came up with this 7 ingredient salad that I thought was really yummy. If you give it a try, please let me know what you think!
Trader Joes Champagne Pear Vinaigrette Feta Pecan and Strawberry Salad
Romaine lettuce
Shredded carrots
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
1/8 cup Feta Cheese (I used Athenos)
1/2 ounce Pecans, chopped
1/8 cup dried cherries (I used Mariani) chopped
2 Tbsp. TJ’s Champagne Pear Vinaigrette Salad Dressing
This salad is one serving and contains 7 Pointsplus. Enjoy!
Other Trader Joes low points foods I’ve tried
Chili Lime Chicken Burgers – 3 pointsplus per patty.
Chicken Chow Mein – 5 pointsplus per serving.
Pineapple tidbits – 0 pointsplus per serving
Whole Wheat Cous Cous – 5 pointsplus per serving
btw – What is your favorite salad dressing?

I absolutely LOVE TJ’s and go there weekly. I never would have thought to mix feta & strawberries, though.
I haven’t been to Trader Joes in a while and have been itching to go. I will definitely check out that dressing! I think my favorite right now is Olde Cape Cod Light Sweet and Sour Dressing.
Stumbled!
I’ve never tried these TJ products but this salad looks wonderful! I love shopping at TJ but it’s on the other side of town, a bit out of the way for me. Next time I’m there, I’ll make sure to get these. Thanks!
It sounds really good, but we don’t have a Trader Joe’s.
That salad looks really good. I didn’t use to like fruit in my salads but lately I’ve been enjoying dried cherries or raisins & sunflower seeds or walnuts in it almost daily. I give you a lot of credit for sticking to your diet. Congrats on the 9 pound loss!
oh… my favorite salad dressing… is just Extra Virgin Olive Oil with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Salt & pepper and I’m set.
Thanks for your comments! Deb I am happy to report that I have lost 9.4 pounds. I finally found a plan that works for me that I can stick to. It helps that I am sharing with everyone – it seems to be keeping me on track!
hmm, i love strawberry
I think I have to stop by TJ today – this salad looks amazing and now when the weather is better I love to have salads! Thanks
Looks so delicious and healthy!
This sounds great. I love to shop at Trader Joe’s and enjoy many of their products but I have not tried any of their dressings as of yet. I do like the combo of vegetables and fruits and nuts that you put into this salad, I am sure it tasted fantastic and also healthy. I want to try that dressing!
Maryann, It’s delicious! If you try it, please let me know what you think!
This sounds very interesting. I need to go to Trader Joe’s. They opened one around here last year, and I still haven’t been.
The salad looks super! Never thought to put Feta cheese with strawberries. We don’t have Trader Joe’s where I live. One of my favourite salad dressings is very simply homemade: olive oil, dijon mustard, lemon juice, and herbs. Thanks.
Thanks for the recipe . I love trying new salads, especially with pecans.

I’ve gotten this product at Trader Joe’s! It’s so different than other salad dressings.

That salad looks really good. I eat a lot of salads…. one every day at lunch.
I happen to have tried Trader Joes Champagne Pear Vinaigrette – so I already KNOW it’s delicious! In fact, I just check and there is still a little left in the fridge which means we will definitely we having THIS salad tonight.
I just bought some beautiful strawberries and we ALWAYS have Feta Cheese on hand – and since my Honey/Hubby discovered that pecans are his new favorite (rather $$$) snack – we happen to have some of them on hand too (they’ll go a lot farther in this salad than in Hubby’s snack bowl – buit I know he will love this salad! Thanks!
Can I just say that this salad recipe literally calls for some of my very favorite foods ever? Fresh berries? Nuts? and Cheese? GO TJ GO! <3
