Hi-Ya Zapi UV Toothbrush Sanitizer Review
Have you heard that bacteria from the flushed toilet can get into the air and can land right on your toothbrushes? It’s not a pleasant thought. You can thank Dr. Oz for that icky yet important information. But not to worry, the Zapi will put an end to that problem!
I selected the Hi-Ya Zapi for my son James who happens to be into Lego Ninjago right now. That’s what this little “germicidal assassin” reminded me of. But after what I’ve read and seen about what this this little device can do, the cool character is just the icing on the cake!
According to their website, “Violight sanitizers use the same ultraviolet technology found in hospitals and high-end water purification systems to hit the germs where they live—in your toothbrush. The UV rays penetrate areas that you simply can’t reach when running your brush under the tap, then safely and effectively obliterate up to 99.9% of disease-causing germs.” This eliminates E. coli, salmonella, strep, Pseudomonas, H1N1 and other harmful microorganisms. That’s pretty amazing.
The Zapi requires three triple A batteries. Just twist the bottom, remove the cap and place batteries inside. Next, place your toothbrush head inside, and snap the handle into the rubber holder inside the Zapi. Press the white button to activate the germicidal UV light. The button blinks for 6 minutes during the sanitizing cycle. When the blinking stops, the toothbrush is germ free!
The Zapi requires at least a quick weekly cleaning for it to remain in optimum working order. It’s so easy to use. My son loves it and his toothbrush is germ free, and storing it inside of the Zapi until next cleaning just about guarantees it will remain that way!
I know what you are thinking. How do I know it’s really germ free? Well, I don’t have a laboratory here to do my own analysis, but I did see the following Rachel Ray video where the Zapi was put to the test.
About the Hi-Ya Zapi UV Toothbrush Sanitizer
Your friendly germicidal assassin
Germs hide in the darkest recesses of your toothbrush, which is where Hi-Ya Zapi works best. He’ll use stealth, misdirection, and germicidal UV rays to locate and eliminate 99.9% the bacteria that threaten your mouth. What does he do with the other .1%? He lets them flee as warning to others.
Simply insert your toothbrush and press his button to set him to work. He’ll kill your microscopic foes in minutes, and shut himself off when he’s done. With Hi-Ya Zapi on your side you can rest assured that your toothbrush is safe from the looming bacterial menace and ready for use whenever you need it.
