Do you need a solution to your winter hair woes? John Frieda’s Root Awakening Shampoo and Conditioner for dry scalp is formulated to clean, hydrate and nourish dry scalps & breakage-prone hair. The Frizz-Ease Hair Serum transforms dry, frizzy, or chemically-treated hair into smooth, glossy hair. I received these three products for review and one Moms Own Words reader will win the same products!
Root Awakening Shampoo and Conditioner Review
This is the third product that I have the opportunity to review and giveaway that will help fight back against cold, dark and drying winter months. We have the Happylight 6000 to chase away the winter blues, Jergen’s lotion for dry skin and now it’s John Frieda’s products to the rescue for dry and damaged hair. Be sure to enter all three!
And dry and damaged my hair is – especially in the winter! I have been trying to exercise daily, which means washing my hair daily. (A no no according to my hair dresser!) Before using the John Freida, I had washed and conditioned my hair two days in a row and a third day? That’s just too much. I was glad to be trying out the new John Frieda products. The shampoo was creamy with a nice peppermint scent. I usually wash my hair, wring out the excess water and then apply a generous amount of conditioner for at least three minutes. It was the Root Awakening conditioner that I really noticed! The product felt cold on my head, I am assuming this was the eucalyptus in the product. “Awakening” is an appropriate name. Not a bad thing! I felt like the product was working hard doing something.
Before styling, I used the Frizz-Ease on my damp hair. (Although, I forgot I was supposed to use it on my soaking wet hair!) I’ve used this product before and it works fine for me. I just have to watch the amount I use, because if I add too much, my hair looks greasy. With just the right amount I get a clean, healthy look with a nice shine.
That was the end result – a clean, healthy look with a nice shine – after three washings in a row! The John Freida Root Awakening shampoo, conditioner and serum are fine hair car products that did a great job on my hair AND they are reasonably priced.
